Details
This course is for students that have taken a ceramics course previously and learned the basics of ceramic construction. Students should be proficient in either hand-building or throwing and able to work independently. Ideas for projects will be discussed and demonstrations given based on student interest and need. Suggested projects will build on the concepts introduced in the beginning class and focus on more advanced elements of construction: handles, feet, lids, sculpture and shape. Although, demonstrations will be minimal and students will have the majority of each class to work independently. Students may need to commit to a primary mode of construction: hand-building or throwing.
Materials Fee: Clay is $20 a bag. Clay can be purchased at the school for $20 per 25 lbs. Clay can only be bought during class from the Instructor.
