Maggie first started playing with clay as a kid, digging clay deposits out of a stream bed near her home on the Olympic Peninsula in Washington. She has explored many art forms throughout her life. Maggie minored in art while earning a bachelor’s degree in business from the University of Washington. Then after moving with her husband to California in 1990 she studied photography at Palomar College and worked as a professional photography assistant.

While raising her two kids she worked in the theater arts creating props and costumes for all their youth theater productions- ranging from Seussical the Musical and Beauty and the Beast to Les Miserable and Cats!

Maggie has been practicing ceramics since her first class with Merrill Everett at Fallbrook School of the Arts 16 years ago and is currently studying ceramics at Mira Costa College.
