Lauren Turek is a freelance photographer based in Southern California. Lauren is versatile and adaptable. While her focus is on fashion photography, both inside and outside of the studio, she also works for clients shooting portraiture, weddings, products, music, surfing, and motorcycles.

After studying under some of the world’s best fashion photographers at the Academy of Art in San Francisco, Lauren was quickly hired as an in-house photographer for the global clothing brand Obey to shoot and style creative marketing imagery as well as products in the studio for catalogs and e-commerce.

As Lauren developed her signature photographic style, freelance clients came calling, and she focused on helping a variety of brands realize their creative visions within the fashion and action sports industries.

Endlessly curious, Lauren is continuously learning new photographic techniques, ever expanding her skill set and knowledge base.

Lauren enjoys sharing the knowledge that she has acquired with younger generations. She has been invited to speak at several colleges about her experience as a photographer in the fashion industry and frequently mentors up-and-coming college students. Lauren is passionate about helping others find their eyes through the lens and looks forward to continuing to share the joy of photography with her students.
