Cathy earned her bachelor's degree from Iowa State University, followed by a Master of Social Work from the University of Iowa. Her professional experience includes working with youth in residential treatment, providing crisis support through The Red Cross, and acquiring specialized training in trauma treatment.

Today, Cathy utilizes her personal story and professional expertise to empower others on their healing journeys through modalities including SoulCollage®. She is dedicated to helping individuals gain independence and find strength in their own narratives, serving as a beacon of hope for those who have faced similar struggles.
