Mediums: Ceramics
Derek Fox is currently studying arts at Mira Costa College and hopes to attend San Diego State University in the Fall of 2024 pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Studio Arts and subsequently, a Masters in Fine Arts. He spends most of his time working with ceramics but also creates in a variety of other mediums including drawing, painting, woodworking, sewing and small tree cultivation.
His pursuit started in functional crafts but recently he’s exploring more conceptual work, taking inspiration from nature – primarily the mountains, desert, and the ocean where he spends most of his time when he’s not studying or creating art.
