Details
Drypoint Printmaking can be traced back to the 15th century. The process is achieved by scratching a design onto a plate with a sharp, needle-like instrument. Ink is then worked into the crevasses and with printmaking paper, you’re ready for the press! Join Instructor Dixon Fish for a day of creating your own Drypoint art. Dixon will show you his methods & techniques he’s mastered over the years, and you’ll learn how to add color and collage elements to elevate your print. Beginners are welcome. Leave the workshop with several original prints hot off the etching press! Additional printmaking paper will be available for purchase during class.
Please Note: There is an additional $10 (cash only) materials fee due at the workshop. There will be a 30-minute break for lunch. You are welcome to bring a sack lunch and beverage to enjoy on our back deck.
