Class/Workshop Details

For kids who love to draw, paint and create, this art camp is perfect for you!  Instructor Ginna Brooks is back again this summer for four days of new, fun art projects!  You’ll learn professional art techniques utilizing various mediums and Miss Ginna will teach how to draw creatures such as animals, birds, or insects by understanding anatomy and connecting simple shapes to create realistic forms and the plant life that surrounds them.  Work with various art materials such as graphite pencils, pastels and watercolor paints as well as polymer clay (always a kid favorite!).  Watch your art come alive as you learn about layering, shading, and blending techniques just like the pros.  You’ll also learn artist fundamentals such as creating a color wheel to combine colors and achieve hues found in nature. Using polymer clay, you’ll learn how to sculpt fossils or other creatures for pocket charms or magnets in a range of fun colors.  Finally, you’ll have the opportunity to explore painting, drawing or creating your own art project too!  This art camp will be offered three times throughout the summer - kids are welcome to take one, two or all three sessions, as different projects will be available to repeat students.  All materials are included.
