Join us for a very special one-day introduction to wet felting class with Visiting Instructor Kim Alexander. This centuries old method of making cloth or fabric from sheep or alpaca wool fiber is fun and easy! This special class is a family affair, so one parent / guardian will join their child, and together you’ll learn the art of wet felting. The best part of wet felting is that this artform uses household items and the materials are readily available so once you learn tricks from a master, you can create more felting art at home! Kim comes all the way from Pennsylvania and will be sharing her knowledge and techniques as you learn how to set up your station, choose your colors, draft your wool, lay out your design and ask as many questions as you like. All supplies including sheep’s wool fiber and plant-based luster fibers are provided to complete one felted flower which can be transformed into a barrette or backpack clip! Beginners welcome but hurry… class size is limited, and this will fill quickly!
