Class/Workshop Details

Have you always wanted to paint with watercolors but found it intimidating?  You’re not alone!  Join Instructor Daphne Gawronski as she breaks down the ABCs of watercolor painting and sets you up for success in this challenging medium.  Daphne will share her experiences as she tackles all the basics like how to prep your paper as well as what brand of paint is best and how to layer colors.  Plus, she’ll explain how to choose the right paintbrush for the job.  Daphne will discuss various techniques and provide you with exercises that you can practice at home.  Feel free to bring your questions!  You’ll be provided with watercolor paint, a small palette, water container, paper towels and a beginner project image.  Watercolor Painting 101 is all about gaining valuable knowledge & resources as well as igniting a passion for this exciting medium! 

Supplies Students Bring:  2 – 3 sheets 9”x12” cold-pressed watercolor paper; 2 or 3 watercolor paintbrushes – sizes 00, 0, 2, 4, and/or 6
