Class/Workshop Details

Are you ready to take the plunge and create beautiful ceramics? Let Instructor Maggie Skidmore guide you through the step-by-step process using various methods of this exciting art form in this special five-week Winter session. Learn about construction and design as well as glazing and firing techniques as you create your masterpiece! This course is great for beginners as well as more experienced potters. The possibilities are endless! Each student is allowed to create up to 6 pieces of average size to be bisque and glaze-fired per six-week session. Additional pieces may be subject to firing fees. Clay is not included and is available at $25 per 25lb bag (any variety). No outside clay or glaze allowed.

Students to Bring: Apron, old towels and (optional) water bottle. Please wear close-toed shoes.

Optional Open Studio

When registering for any adult FSA Ceramics class, you have the opportunity to register for Open Studio too.  Each Open Studio session includes one, 3-hour day per week  (see below for schedule details). You will have full access to the FSA Ceramics Studio and an FSA Instructor will be present to answer questions and assist you, but no new lessons will be taught during this time so you can concentrate on your art.

NOTE:  Prorated days, substitutions, or make up sessions are not allowed.  Students who register for “Open Studio 1” for example, may not attend “Open Studio 1 and/or Open Studio 2” unless they have paid for that / those session(s) accordingly 

Open Studio 1 – Weds (11/16 – 12/14) - Five Weeks - 5:30p-8:30p ($65) Casey O'Connor

Open Studio 2 - Thu (11/17 - 12/15) - Four Weeks (no Open Studio 11/24) - 12p-3p ($50) Maggie Skidmore

Rules:  FSA’s Open Studio sessions are only available to registered FSA students of adult Ceramics classes.  Students may register for multiple Open Studio sessions.  

Fallbrook Arts, Inc. Covid Policy Update 8/26/2022:  For adult classes at FSA – Masks are required for unvaccinated individuals. Fully vaccinated individuals are recommended to continue indoor masking when the risk may be high. For all K – 12 school aged students, masks are strongly recommended.
