Class/Workshop Details

It’s time to dive into creating ceramic art for this special 5-week summer session!  Join Instructor Maggie Skidmore and sling some mud as you learn to design and shape clay creations using hand-building techniques for sculpted art.  You’ll also have the opportunity to throw clay on a potter’s wheel to create vessels. Maggie will explore coiling, pinch pots, slab construction, etc. to take your ceramic art to the next level. Plus, you’ll learn about glazing your art to prepare it for being fired in a kiln.  This process transforms the dry bisque clay into vibrant artwork you’ll treasure for a lifetime. Maggie will provide project ideas, but you’ll have the freedom to create your own art. This class is very popular so hurry and sign up to secure your place.  All materials included.

Please note: Students’ art must be picked up at FSA within two weeks of completion of the class.
