Class/Workshop Details

Join Instructor Casey O'Connor for all things clay.  This course is ideal for beginners as well as those who have experience with hand-building and potter's wheel techniques.  Students can work independently or Casey can suggest skill-building projects to help you achieve success in the studio.  No experience is necessary, and all skill levels are welcome.  This class will explore both functional as well as artistic creativity in working with clay, glaze, and fire.

Clay is not included and is available at $20 per 25lb bag of any variety.  No outside clay allowed.

Optional Open Studio

When registering for any adult FSA Ceramics class, you now have the opportunity to register for Open Studio too.  Six (6) Open Studio sessions are $75.  Each Open Studio session includes one, 3-hour day per week for 6 weeks (see below for schedule details). You will have full access to the FSA Ceramics Studio and an FSA Instructor will be present to answer questions and assist you, but no new lessons will be taught during this time so you can concentrate on your art.

NOTE:  Prorated days, substitutions, or make up sessions are not allowed.  Students who register for “Open Studio 1” for example, may not attend “Open Studio 2 and/or Open Studio 3” unless they have paid for that / those session(s) accordingly.

1. Open Studio 1 – Wednesdays ONLY -  5:30pm to 8:30pm  (Sept. 29 – Nov. 3, 2021) - $75  (Casey O'Connor)

2. Open Studio 2 – Thursdays ONLY - 12:00pm to 3:00pm (Sept. 30 – Nov. 4, 2021) - $75  (Maggie Skidmore)

3. Open Studio 3 – Thursdays ONLY - 5:30pm to 8:30pm (Sept. 30 – Nov. 4, 2021) - $75  (Casey O'Connor)

Rules:  FSA’s Open Studio sessions are only available to registered FSA students of adult Ceramics classes.  Students may register for multiple Open Studio sessions.
