Imagine and paint with watercolors using a process that allows you to define space around growing things with contrast and yummy colors. Discover the beauty of this technique when underlining abstracted imagery of flowers, leaves, pods, and other assorted botanical shapes are discovered. We’ll also work with translucent overlays as well as using color pencils for a mixed media approach. Add bits of mark making collage and text with metaphors or whimsical messages for a thoughtful approach. These contemporary good-vibe watercolor techniques are sure to inspire creativity! Students should have some knowledge of basic watercolor techniques.
