We provide classes for all levels of experience for both youth and adults. Along with on-going classes offered in both day and evening, we offer visiting artists workshops as well as specialized workshops including Raku and glaze applications.

Our fully equipped Ceramics Studio features, 12 electric wheels, 5 kilns (2 electric, 2 gas firing to Cone 10, 1 Raku), 2 slab rollers, spray booth, clay extruder, and large work surfaces for hand-building. Clay is available for purchase and firing and glazes are included in class fees.

Due to the high volume of classes, we are unable to offer independent studio rental or firing services for works created outside our classes.

Sometimes referred to as fused glass, warm glass, or kiln work, this craft involves molding and manipulating glass inside a kiln. With readily available materials and modern computer controlled kilns, glass fusing has exploded in popularity in the recent years.

Our fully-equipped Warm Glass Studio offers a wide variety of classes and workshops for novices to experienced glass workers taught by knowledgeable and friendly instructors.

Our printmaking studio offers a well-equipped studio and diverse schedule of classes and workshops for both youth and adults to foster the development of printmaking as a vibrant and progressive art form. Professional artists and students can work in a variety of traditional and alternative processes including intaglio, monoprint, relief, lithography, screenprint, letterpress, book arts, and paper making.

The studio is comprised of three connected spaces totaling 1,850 square feet: Press Room with 4 presses and large drying racks; Work Space with tables & chairs, magnetic hanging system, light table, a NuArc large exposure unit; and covered outside Deck Space with hot plate, deep sink, and a large inking table.

Studio Rentals

Studio rental is open to experienced printmakers. The rental rate does not include an instructor or assistant. Renters must be approved by the Department Manager prior to rental of Studio. Space availability will be determined at time of request. Printmaking papers available for purchase Studio Renters are responsible for any damages to equipment or studio. Studio Renters are responsible for clean-up.

Rental Rates:

Daily: $75 per day per person. Limited to 3 people per day. Payment is due in full at time of booking. No refunds will be made if space isn't used as contracted.

To accommodate our many classes and workshops, we have 2 classrooms - Studio A and Studio B. Both are equipped with magnetic hanging systems, demo mirrors, 6' tables, chairs, easels, stools, and whiteboards. A multitude of windows in both classrooms allow for natural light along with a color-corrected lighting system as well as dark-out shades for light control. Other classroom amenities include a light table, paper cutter, and sink (Studio B).

Phil Burns loved everything about art. Throughout his career as a designer he collected books that he used as both an inspiration and reference for his work. It was Phil's wish that the collection remain as a reference library for other artists. Several years before his death in 2014 he gifted the entire book collection to the Fallbrook Arts Inc. with the understanding that the Art Library be housed at the Fallbrook School of the Arts.

The Fallbrook School of the Arts Campus sits in the historic downtown section of Fallbrook. The 3,500 square foot campus features two main buildings with defined usage plus other areas dedicated to specific art disciplines. Fallbrook School of the Arts is dedicated to enhancing the cultural life of the picturesque village of Fallbrook by providing arts education to every age, skill level and socio-economic group. The Fallbrook School of the Arts offers classes and workshops to the public in ceramics, warm glass, printmaking, jewelry making, classical drawing, fiber arts, oil / acrylic / water media / pastel painting, paper arts, life drawing.

FSA offers the opportunity to rent our facilities for meetings, classes, events and more. The fee is $50/hour plus a deposit and, if after hours, an additional administration/clean up fee. All parties renting space must add FSA to their Certificate of Insurance prior to the start of their event. The renter is responsible for any permits required (food or drink) and must submit a copy to FSA prior to the event. Call, email or stop by for a tour for your next event.

We also offer private team building and other art-related events. If you are interested in giving your team or social group a new experience, we offer private, customized programming for 5 people or more. With this offer, there is no rental of the studio required and fees for instruction and supplies are negotiated.
