Niki Hilsabeck is an artist from Fallbrook, California, who works primarily in pastel and acrylic.

Being a native of California, Niki finds inspiration in local scenery—particularly that which features the natural world.  Whether it be the twisted trunk of a live oak tree, the glimmering light of an ocean sunset, or a burst of colorful flowers, Niki delights in harnessing the beauty of the scenery around her and bringing it to life with her pastels.

Niki has taught art classes for children and adults at Fallbrook School of the Arts, Fallbrook Library, and private painting parties.  She has also contributed articles and painting tutorials to the popular art newsletter Empty Easel.  Before transitioning to being a full-time artist, Niki was a public school teacher for many years.  She loves to bring the joy of creating art to students of all levels and backgrounds!
