In this class you will make two pairs of earrings and a charm.
Techniques we will be covering:~ Tools and characteristics of metal clay~ How to roll and form clay~ How to texture~ How to make a bezel setting in clay with CZ’s~ Firing with a PMC kiln - we will fire your projects in class~ How to use the flex shaft for finishing and polishing.~ How to patina using Liver of Sulphur or LOS~ Time permitting, a brief demo on wire wrapping beads or pearls if you choose to use them.
The instructor will supply the following: 25 Grams of Art Clay SilverA loaner tool kit with all the basics for working with metal clayKiln to fire your projectAll patina suppliesFinishing and polishing toolsTwo sets of sterling silver ear wires
Please bring your own~ Note taking materials such as pad and pen~ Apron~ Lunch/ water etc. (this is an all day class)
