Learn the universal rules of how to draw what you see. Take the experience of many generations of fine artists and you don’t have to invent the wheel. Master this craft and then take your own path. This is an ongoing class/workshop for beginning to advanced students. This course will focus on classical drawing as a fundamental tool in ones development as a fine artist. Whether you want to be a painter or a sculptor - regardless of the style you choose your ability to draw realistically and constructively provides you with a solid basis for professional growth. Students will work with objects as well as life models. A variety of drawing media will be explored. You will gain a better understanding of composition, construction, perspective, tonal value, light and shadow. Students will produce a portfolio of finished easel drawings worth framing as well as variety of sketches which could later be used as material for other projects. Limit 12 students.
