This past year has been filled with unprecedented challenges, so it’s time to start the healing process. Join Artist Instructor Ginna Brooks and create a unique book arts project filled with pages that inspire, encourage, motivate and most importantly... heal. During this soulful journey, you’ll learn calligraphic techniques like medieval style borders, monoline historic fonts and altered handwriting. Work with tracings in both gestural and contour methods or create your own images. Your composition may inspire balance, rhythm, collage, phrases, poems, lyrics or passages that speak to you. Anything goes and there are no boundaries. Watch your pages come to life with watercolors inspired by nature’s palette. Fold the pages of your book to create movement while including patterns, textures and/or embellishments. At the end of the session, you’ll have an heirloom to cherish, share or gift to someone else who might also need some healing.
